This week I was delighted to receive a phone call from BBC Essex Radio inviting me onto the Dave Monk show to participate in a round table discussion.
The BBC are discussing and highlighting the current issues surrounding elderly care; ‘The Budgets are at present being cut so what can and should be done’ is an example of a topic for the discussion. The discussion group will include a doctor, a care home owner, hopefully a representative from local authority and of course, yours truly. The morning radio show is all part of a BBC programme of looking at Elderly Care with the TV programme ‘Inside Out’ taking place in the evening.
Just to be clear, I will not be on TV, trust me i have a face for Radio, not TV!
The topic is close to a lot of peoples hearts and when in the situation it can be a very emotional and distressing time. So, I believe the discussion will be very interesting, informative and cover issues that may affect many people at some point in their lives.
